Sandras Chicken, Broccoli and Swiss Waffle Fry

Poutine, a traditional Canadian dish, gets a unique makeover with the addition of Sandra's Chicken, Broccoli and Swiss. This main course ramps up the flavor by adding french fries, bacon, gravy, and shredded Swiss cheese to the delectable Broccoli & Swiss stuffed chicken entree. These ingredients all add up to an easy dinner idea that is sure to become a hit around your table!

Ingredients

    8 oz. Frozen Waffle Fries

  • 3

    1/2 tsp. Kosher Salt

  • 4

    3 slices Bacon

  • 5

    1 - 32 oz. pkg. Dry Country Gravy Mix (not sausage country gravy mix)

    1 1/4 cups Water, divided

  • 7

    1/2 cup Shredded Swiss Cheese

  • 8

    2 Scallions, chopped

  • 9

    Additional Shredded Swiss Cheese for garnish

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare Sandra's Chicken, Broccoli & Swiss according to package directions

    After chicken is fully cooked, allow to cool slightly. Carefully cut into 1/2-inch slices, then cut the slices in half

    Place the frozen waffle fries in a single layer onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, flip fries and continue cooking until cooked through and lightly browned, approx. 12-15 minutes. Season the fries with salt as soon as they come out of the oven

    Meanwhile, place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon and cook until crispy, approximately 3-4 minutes per side. Drain; cool slightly, then crumble

    In a small saucepan, place the gravy mix and 1 cup water; whisk together. Heat over high heat until it boils, then reduce heat to medium low and cook until thickened, approx. 1 minute. Add in the Swiss cheese, stirring until melted into the sauce. Just prior to assembling, stir in the remaining 1/4 cup water

    To assemble the poutine, evenly divided the waffle fries onto two serving plates and top each with one full cut-up piece of chicken, being sure to include all the filling of the chicken. Drizzle with the cheesy country gravy, then top evenly with the bacon and scallions

    Garnish with additional shredded Swiss cheese
